Blue Bling Nails (Polish Days & Advent Calendar Nail Challenge)

Här är den här månadens Polish Days manikyr och "bling it is"! Jag tyckte nämligen att den här manikyren passade bättre för ändamålet jämfört med gårdagens manikyr och den här manikyren passade också in på dagens advents kalender utmaning då temat var min favoritfärg, blått :) Jag ville prova på att göra olika designer på varje nagel men favoriten är helt klart kaviar nageln. Jag älskar kaviar naglar sedan jag provade på det första gången. Jag vet att jag skrev igår om ett kvalitets under- och överlack som jag skulle köpa, nämligen Essie Nourish Me base coat och Essie Good To Go topcoat, men produkterna var den här gången slutsålda vid affären men jag hoppas att mera anländer snart.

Okay, so here it is the Polish Days manicure for this month and as you can see bling it is! I thought this manicure suited better for the bling theme than the manicure I did yesterday, and at the same time this manicure is also for todays theme in the advent calendar challenge, my favourite color blue :) I wanted to do a bit different designs on each nail and my favourite is absolutely the beaded nail. I love beaded (caviar) nails ever since I tried it the first time. I know I wrote yesterday about the quality base- and topcoat I was going to buy today, it was the Essie Nourish Me base coat and Essie Good To Go topcoat, but the products were sold out at the supermarket. I hope they get more of it soon.

The products I used for this manicure are:

•  Lumene Gloss & Care (basecoat, clear polish and topcoat all in one)
• Golden Rose matte nr 10 (matte blue polish)
• Loose blue glittery powder
• Blue glequins (glitter sequins)
• Blue beads
• Seche Vite topcoat

Advent Calendar Nail Challenge - Day 4 "Silver"

Idag har det varit den här månadens Polish Days och då jag inte hade tid att idag göra två olika manikyrer så hade jag först tänkt kombinera båda utmaningarna med varandra. Temat för Polish Days var bling och visst är ju dessa naglar glittriga (mera i verkligheten än på bilderna) men jag tyckte inte att dessa passade riktigt till utmaningen så Polish Days inlägget kommer senare än vanligt, nämligen imorgon och kombineras då med morgondagens advents kalender utmaning för en mera passande manikyr. Då görs manikyren i min favoritfärg och jag inhandlar kanske ett nytt kvalitets bas- och överlack :)

Today it has been this month's Polish Days and as I didn't have time today to create two different manicures I had at first thought of combining the two challenges together. The theme of the Polish Days was bling and yes this manicure is sparkly (more in reality than in the pictures) but I did not think they really were that bling for the challenge. So the Polish Days post is coming later than usual, which is tomorrow evening, and it's then combined with tomorrow's Advent Calendar challenge for a more suitable manicure. And then the coming manicure is in my favorite color and I also may have shopped a new quality base- and topcoat :)

Till den här manikyren tog jag hjälp av cutenails tutorial på hennes variant av fjärilsvingade naglar. Jag använde mig av Flormar nr 436 silverfärgade lack och toppade med Rimmel "Disco Ball" för en glittrig effekt. Därefter målade jag detaljerna med svart och rosa akrylfärg, limmade dit en nageldekoration på varje nagel och toppade med Seche Vite. Och jag konstaterar att jag tyvärr fortfarande har problem med fotograferingen och ljussättningen.

For this manicure, I took help of cutenails tutorial on her version of the butterfly winged nails. I used Flormar nr 436 silver polish and topped with Rimmel "Disco Ball" for a sparkly effect. Then I painted the details with black and pink acrylic paint, glued a nail decoration on each nail and topped with Seche Vite. And I noticed that I unfortunately still have trouble with photographing and lighting.

Advent Calendar Nail Challenge - Day 3 "Green"

Tredje december redan och snö och kyla har anlänt. Dagens manikyr i grönt gjordes med hjälp av en glittrig gradient där jag använt OPI "Live and Let Die" som basfärg och duttat ovanpå ett ljusare grön glittrigt lack, Orly "Meet me under the mistletoe", med en makeupsvamp. Tyvärr blev bilden allt annat än korrekt vad gäller färgen då det på bilden ser ut som om lacket är mörkgrått/blått då det i verkligheten är mörkgrönt. Pappret jag använt som bakgrundsbild är dessutom svart vilket heller inte syns på bilden. De vita detaljerna målades med vit akrylfärg.

Third december already and snow and cold weather has arrived. Today's manicure in green is made with a glittery gradient where I used OPI "Live and Let Die" as the base color and sponged on top a lighter green glitter polish, Orly "Meet me under the mistletoe", with a makeup sponge. Unfortunately, the picture is anything but coloraccurate as the picture looks like the polish is dark gray / blue when in reality it is dark green. The paper I used as the background is black which is not visible in the picture. The white parts were painted with white acrylic paint.

Advent Calendar Nail Challenge - Day 2 "Gold"

Dagens manikyr i adventskalender utmaningen består av guldig folie med julgransdekoration. Basfärgen "GoldenEye" kommer från OPI:s Skyfall kollektion liksom de andra OPI lacken och julgranen är målad på frihand med OPI "Live and Let Die", OPI "The spy who loved me" samt Orly "Meet me under the mistletoe". Manikyren är målad på mina akryl naglar som jag gjorde åt mig själv alldeles nyligen. Roligt med aningen längre naglar med utrymme för nageldekorationer men utan att vara alldeles för långa. Annars går mina naglar ganska lätt av så att jag måste hålla dem ganska kort.

Todays manicure in the advent calendar challenge is a golden foily color with a christmas tree decoration. The basecolor "GoldenEye" is from OPI's Skyfall collection and also the other OPI polishes used for this manicure and the christmas tree is painted by freehand with OPI "Live and Let Die", OPI "The spy who loved me" and Orly "Meet me under the mistletoe". The manicure is painted on my acrylic nails that I did for myself recently. It's fun to have slightly longer nails with space for nail decorations but without being too long. My natural nails breaks quite easily that I have to keep them a bit shorter.

Advent Calendar Nail Challenge - Day 1 "Red"

Jag är tillbaka med bloggande efter en lite längre paus och jag har bestämt mig för att försöka mig på en utmaning igen. Den här gången en jul-utmaning. Först hittade jag tre stycken olika och jag hade svårt att bestämma mig för vilken av dem jag skall göra, men jag bestämde mig till slut för den här utmaningen i form av en advents kalender. Temat för första december är "rött".

I'm back with blogging after a slightly longer break and I've decided to try me on a challenge again. This time a Christmas challenge. First I found three different and it was hard to decide which one of them I should do, but I finally decided for this advent calendar nail challenge. The theme for the first december is "red".

Jag har använt Essie "After Sex" som basfärg vilket har ända sedan studietiden (eftersom vi hade Essie lack i skolan) varit en favorit för mig när det kommer till röda lack. Tyvärr har det lilla jag har kvar av det här lacket tjocknat och jag fick använda en hel del nagellacks thinner för att överhuvudtaget få det att fungera. Jag har stämplat ovanpå med Technic "Jet Black" och MoYou plattan N23.

I used Essie "After Sex" as the base color which has since my studies (because we had Essie polishes in school) been a favorite of mine when it comes to red polishes. Unfortunately, the little I have left of this polish had thickened and I had to use a lot of nail polish thinner to even get it to work. I have stamped on top with Technic "Jet Black" and MoYou plate N23.
